This page explains the terms that govern your use of AMedSG.com, how we handle your information, and our refund practices. It applies to everyone who visits our site, buys a course, or engages our coaching or programs. By using the site or purchasing from us, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or buy from us.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site or buy from us. Our services are built for physicians and academic faculty. We do not sell to or knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Part 1: Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what we offer

AMedSG helps academic physicians and their departments build reputation, systems, and career clarity. We offer:

  1. Self-paced digital courses. Academic Medicine Career Kickstarter, Physician Career Kickstarter, and CME by the Book.
  2. 1:1 Physician Coaching. Governed by a separate signed Client Coaching Agreement.
  3. FERI, the Faculty Excellence and Retention Initiative. Institutional and departmental coaching, governed by a separate signed FERI Agreement.
  4. CME programming.

Some offerings are governed by their own signed agreement, as noted above. Where a signed agreement exists, that agreement controls for that offering. This page governs your use of the website and any purchase not covered by a separate signed agreement.

2. Using the site

You agree to use the site and its content lawfully and for your own personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Your use of the site is at your own risk. We work to keep the site available and accurate, and we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free.

3. Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated to account holders by email or a notice on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

4. Intellectual property

All course content, workshop materials, frameworks, written materials, graphics, and other content on the site or in our programs are owned by AMedSG unless stated otherwise. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative materials from them without our written permission. Materials provided inside FERI and the coaching programs remain AMedSG property, as set out in the applicable signed agreement.

5. Your submissions

If you post reviews, testimonials, comments, or other content to us or through the site, you keep ownership of it. You give AMedSG a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, display, and adapt that content to operate and promote our services. You are responsible for what you submit, and you agree it will be lawful, accurate, and free of anything defamatory, infringing, or harmful.

6. Recordings and likeness

We may record live sessions, webinars, workshops, and CME programs for teaching, quality, and promotional use. If you take part in a recorded session, you grant AMedSG a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use the recording, including your name, image, voice, and likeness, to deliver and promote our programs, with no compensation owed to you. If you would prefer not to appear, tell us before the session and we will accommodate reasonable requests, such as keeping your camera off. This does not apply to your confidential 1:1 coaching sessions, which are governed by your signed Client Coaching Agreement.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our site and content are provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, AMedSG is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, courses, or programs. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the offering that gave rise to the claim in the six months before the claim arose. For 1:1 Coaching and FERI, the liability terms in the applicable signed agreement control.

Any claim arising from or relating to the site, our courses, or these terms must be brought within one year after the claim arises. After one year, the claim is permanently barred, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AMedSG, Stacey Ishman Coaching LLC, and their owners, contractors, and coaches from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from your use of the site, courses, or programs, your content or submissions, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party. This section survives the end of your use of the site or your purchase.

9. Dispute resolution and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

For any dispute arising from or relating to the website, our courses, or these terms that is not covered by a separate signed agreement, you and AMedSG agree to first try in good faith to resolve it directly for up to 30 days. If that does not resolve it, the dispute will be settled by binding arbitration administered in Ohio under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, and not in court. Each party will bear its own attorney's fees and costs.

Class action and jury trial waiver. You and AMedSG agree that any dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. You and AMedSG waive any right to a jury trial. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a given claim, that claim will proceed in court rather than arbitration, and the jury waiver still applies.

This section survives the end of your use of the site or your purchase.

10. General

Assignment. AMedSG may assign or transfer these terms and its rights and obligations, including in connection with a sale or transfer of the business. You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written permission.

Survival. The sections on Intellectual property, Your submissions, Recordings and likeness, Disclaimers and limitation of liability, Indemnification, and Dispute resolution survive the end of your use of the site or your purchase.

Entire agreement and no reliance. These terms, together with any applicable signed agreement, are the full agreement between you and AMedSG for the offerings they cover. You agree you are not relying on any promise or representation not written in these terms or your signed agreement.

Severability and waiver. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Part 2: Privacy Policy

AMedSG respects your privacy and handles your information carefully. This section explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect the information we need to run our business and deliver what you asked for. This may include:

  • Contact and identity details you give us, such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and professional or institutional affiliation.
  • Purchase and billing information, such as what you bought and the billing details needed to process payment. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
  • Usage information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and dates and times of access.
2. How we use your information

We use your information to deliver courses and programs, manage your account, process payments, respond to your questions, send you updates you have agreed to receive, improve the site, and meet our legal obligations.

3. Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may send you text messages. We keep two kinds of texts separate, and you can opt out of each on its own.

  • Service and reminder texts. These support a program or session you are already part of, such as scheduling, links, reminders, and logistics. Coaching clients and FERI participants may receive these as part of the program.
  • Marketing texts. These share offers, events, or promotions. We send these only if you have given consent to receive them, and consent to marketing texts is never a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Opting out of marketing texts does not stop service and reminder texts for a program you are enrolled in. For details on how we handle your information, see this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working properly, to understand how it is used, and to support our advertising. We work with analytics and advertising partners, including Google and Meta, which may use cookies or pixels to measure our marketing and to show you AMedSG ads on other platforms, sometimes called retargeting. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of this advertising activity as described in "Your choices and rights" below. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, under agreements that limit them to that purpose. These may include our payment processor, course platform, email platform, analytics and advertising partners, and other tools we use to operate. Our course platform does not make your personal information visible to other students or learners. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

Some state privacy laws use a broad definition of "sale" or "sharing" that can include using advertising partners for retargeting. Where that applies, you can opt out as described in "Your choices and rights" below.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

We serve clients and learners across the United States. To keep things simple and fair, we extend the same core privacy rights to everyone, no matter which state you live in. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time using the link in any message or by emailing [email protected].

You can opt out of advertising and retargeting by adjusting your browser and ad-platform settings, and by emailing [email protected] to ask us to stop sharing your information with advertising partners. Residents of states with their own privacy laws, such as California, may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing [email protected].

8. Security

We use reasonable physical, organizational, and technical measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your own password and account access. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any required authorities as the law requires.

9. Children

Our site and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, please contact [email protected].

10. Contact

Questions about privacy can go to [email protected].

Part 3: Refund Policy

Our refund terms depend on what you purchased. Please read the section that applies to you.

1. Courses (Academic Medicine Career Kickstarter, Physician Career Kickstarter, CME by the Book)

All course purchases are final. We do not offer refunds on courses.

Before you buy, please confirm that the course is right for you. That means checking the time commitment, the technical requirements, and whether the content fits what you are looking for. Because our courses give you immediate access to the full material, we are not able to offer refunds once you have purchased.

If you have questions about whether a course is a good fit, email us at [email protected] before you buy. We are glad to help you decide.

2. 1:1 Coaching

1:1 Coaching is governed by the Client Coaching Agreement you sign before your engagement begins. That agreement controls, and the summary below is for convenience only.

  • Refunds: If you request a refund within one week after your first session of a purchased package, you may receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations: Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a session. Sessions missed without notice may be billed.
  • Termination: Either party may end the engagement with one week's written notice. Packages already purchased remain subject to the refund and expiration terms in the agreement.

For the full and controlling terms, see your signed Client Coaching Agreement.

3. FERI (Faculty Excellence and Retention Initiative)

FERI is an institutional engagement governed by the FERI Agreement signed by your department or institution. That agreement controls, and the summary below is for convenience only.

  • Refunds: All payments are non-refundable. Unused sessions or workshops may be banked and redirected within the Program Term. They are not refunded.
  • Cancellations: Please give at least 24 hours' notice for an individual session and at least 14 days' notice for a group workshop.
  • Termination: Either party may end the engagement with 30 days' written notice. Fees remain due and non-refundable.

For the full and controlling terms, see the signed FERI Agreement.

4. Payments and chargebacks

By purchasing from AMedSG, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the amount shown at checkout. If we agree to split a purchase into scheduled payments at your request, you authorize each scheduled charge and you remain responsible for the full amount. If a scheduled payment fails, we may charge the balance to your payment method and hold access to the offering until payment clears.

If you think a charge is wrong, please email us first at [email protected] so we can sort it out directly. We will work with you in good faith to resolve it. For purchases that fall under the no-refund terms above, you remain responsible for the amount owed even if a dispute is filed with your card issuer.

Educational purpose disclaimer

AMedSG content, courses, coaching, and programs are educational and developmental in nature. They are designed to support your career, leadership, and professional growth.

They are not medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not create a physician-patient, attorney-client, or therapist-client relationship. Coaching is not therapy or counseling. If you need medical, legal, financial, or mental health care, please consult a licensed professional in that field.

You are responsible for your own decisions and results. We share what has worked in our experience and for the physicians we serve. We do not guarantee any specific outcome.
